Coming soon! My first solo album.

It may seem like nothing much has been happening the last couple of years, but quietly in the studio there’s been steady work on this upcoming album. The release is slated for 2024, and there will be a newly redesigned website too. In the coming weeks, there’ll be more news…

Before the After

I had the honor of being asked by the Michigan Festival of Sacred Music to participate in a project to write music inspired by a local place. My artist statement about this work is here. And check out their Music in Place project home page, which has further information and the wonderful contributions of other […]

A live performance of my original piece Noche de Julia. This was composed for the climactic scene of a play, Miss Julia, a bilingual adaptation of August Strindberg’s famous Miss Julie. Performance of the play (and this piece) has taken me to numerous countries on three continents.

Just “Sprung”: New solo music with live looping

The signs of spring are lifting my spirits. “Sprung” is a super-new piece I debuted in March 2019. So while I think it’ll still develop and I’ll get more adept at playing it, this little sprout wants to see the light. I’ll be posting more clips from the solo set on YouTube, so stay tuned…

Thanks also to the inspiration from Chris Ferris’ dancing body and […]

Happy new year, welcome to the YOTH!

Year of the Horse, that is… And I’m galloping along, trying to catch up with updating this website. It’s subtle, but you might notice some new entries in the “listen” menu, and in “projects.” It’s a start, and I think it’s better to be nice to my horse. No need to take out the whip […]
